Members of the UK Parliament visited the University of Hargeisa on Thursday 5th of April, 2018. They met with the University management and members of the university board. The MPs who where visited the University Of Hargeisa and Somaliland at large are prominent parliamentarians who advocate for Somaliland recognition, the MP’s came to Somaliland for the purpose of taking insight on how the different country structures are functioning; from the Government, to the Parliament, to the Oppositions, to Businesses and Education.
The University Of Hargeisa management briefed them about the university, its development, research and partnerships with UK institutions. The management then held strategic meeting with them with the presence of the university of Hargeisa president, Dr. Mahmoud Yusuf Muse and the chair of the board Mr. Abdisamad Maal.
