The Taiwan Deputy Representative to Somaliland paid a visit to the University of Hargeisa. Mr. Nabil Chen-Chu Wu met with the President of the University and other University officials. The meeting was to follow up on the agreement between the University of Hargeisa in Somaliland and CYCU University in Taiwan which was signed in last December.
The two universities will cooperate on research, exchange students, teachers program and are expected to issue Ph.D. publications together. Among the areas that the two institutions will work together include health, energy, and science. They will also exchange internship and apprenticeship programs.
The Deputy Representative also requested the University encourage its students to apply to the Taiwan Scholarship Programs open this year 2021 particularly in the fields of Engineering, Fisheries and Marine Management, Healthcare, and Medicine.
