It’s beyond mentioning that every higher education institution encounters many stages and challenges, The University of Hargeisa is no different.
In the year 2016 to this very day the university has made numerous wonderful and tangible achievements, it is quite remarkable.
There has been a huge shift in improving the quality of the University in terms of academic reforms, creating academic commissions for each faculty, eradicating cheating behaviors by the student body, hiring procedures and improving the basic infrastructure of the main campus.
It cannot be said that the University of Hargeisa has made 100% development but it has certainly leaped in the right direction in such a short period of time as opposed to its past state, the most outstanding factor in the whole process are the ongoing activities such as Teacher Trainings, Trainings For Professional Staff from government bodies to other universities, Research Projects, and other International trainings that always contribute to building a qualified work force.
The university has harbored a noticeable amount of international relations through partnerships and collaborations with fellow universities and has created a reputable image to the Somaliland society. This international bond has led the university’s administration to make University of Hargeisa great again.
This has showed that regardless of the many challenges the environment may pose the university continues to thrive.
In the university of Hargeisa tuition fees are incredible affordable and in some cases even would be considered extremely low compared to the prestigious education offered at the university, which results in the student body meeting the highest of standards and getting molded to be outstanding professionals.
Looking at the hiring procedures of the university it is a proud moment for all of us here at the university to say that our hiring processes are done fairly and free of biased motives and thus our staff members are extremely professional, team players and well educated.
There is still a long way to go but so far so good and I am pretty sure that the University Of Hargeisa will only go up from here.
